Renault is preparing a new generation of hatchback Renault SanderoJanuary 10, 2020
Actual generation of the model has been produced over the past 8 years, so the time has come for the release of the next generation, which the brand’s specialists are working on.
For the first time, a new generation of Renault Sandero was seen in tests last year, but then the car wore tight camouflage. But the other day, photo spies again managed to capture a hatchback on the roads, though it is already possible to discern some details of the new item.
Dacia Sandero with the change of generation will become more like a Duster crossover. So, the car has a similar radiator grill and front optics. However, it is still difficult to say how the back of the model will look.
The biggest changes should occur in the technical component, since the model will move from the obsolete B0 platform to the new CMF-B. By the way, it is also used in the fifth-generation Clio, the second-generation Captur and the all-new Nissan Juke. Thanks to the use of a modern platform, handling and safety are greatly improved.
It will also open access to the wide engine range of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. However, there is a possibility that under the hood there will be gasoline and diesel engines with 90 hp. and 95 hp respectively. In addition, in the engine compartment there will be a 1.3-liter gasoline engine, developed in conjunction with Daimler. Its return is 130 hp. There are also rumors about the appearance of a hybrid version of Renault Sandero, which will open the way to electrifying the brand.
