By 2022, Renault will launch 2 more electric vehicles on the European market. This became known on Monday, May 11.
So, in an interview with Autocar, Renault’s director of electric cars, Gilles Normad, hinted at the appearance of a compact cross-country about 4.5 meters long and its smaller cross-hatchback alternative. Both cars will acquire fully electric engines.
According to reports, both electric vehicles will be built on the CMF-EV platform, which was developed by specialists of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance specifically for electric cars. It is worth mentioning that the first was received by the Morphoz conceptual model, which will be able to independently change its own shape depending on the mode of movement.
Electric cars, in particular, will be able to boast of outstanding body streamlining and aerodynamics, due to which their autonomy on a single charge will be 550 km. Other features, including battery capacity and electric motor performance, are unveiled about a year later.
