Renault is going to sell annually more than 60 thousand compact van TriberApril 23, 2019
This “off-road” compact van, whose sales in the Indian market will begin in July 2019, is a rewrite of the Datsun Cross.
Renault predicts a bright future for its new off-road Triber compact van: the French brand intends to sell more than 60,000 such cars a year. This figure was voiced by the head of the Indian division of the brand Venkatran Mamilapalle. The novelty will appear on the Indian market in July. According to preliminary data, the minimum price tag for Triber will start at 530,000 rupees.
Recall that this inexpensive compact van has become a converted version of the popular three-cylinder inline engine Datsun Cross, whose sales began last year.
Under the hood of a car that intervenes in seven passengers, one of two engines can hide: a 68-hp one-liter or a 1.2-liter engine with a 78 horsepower engine. All-wheel drive models are not allowed, but the available transmissions – two. This is a manual gearbox or variator.
The exterior of the off-road Triber is distinguished by its overall V-shaped grille, a large air collector with a honeycomb pattern, a protective body kit and original rear lights, combined into a single unit with a plastic lining. Already in the database, this “state employee” gets ABS and ESP, 15-inch stamped discs, trimmed fabrics, etc. For an extra charge, the buyer can count on air conditioning.
