Renault Duster has got a new turbo engine from MercedesFebruary 8, 2020
At the Auto Expo in Delhi, a presentation of the “Indian” version of the Renault Duster, which has a turbocharged gasoline power unit from Mercedes-Benz, was held. Dealers will receive such crosses by the end of 2020.
So, we are talking about the “turbo four” TCe with a volume of 1.3 liters, built by specialists of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi concern together with Daimler Corporation. Previously, it was under the hood of all compact Mercedes-Benz cars, in particular, the A-Class, B-Class, CLA, GLA and the new GLB cross.
The 1.3 TCe variation for Europe is produced at the French brand in Spain and develops from 115 to 160 hp, while at the same time, another local modification of this engine with a capacity of 156 hp will be released exclusively for India. (250 Nm). The new engine will work together with a 6-speed manual transmission and CVT.
So, the engine line of the “Indian” Duster model of 2020 will simultaneously include 3 power units: an atmospheric engine of 1.5 liters (corresponding to the BS6 environmental standard), a turbocharged diesel engine of 1.5 liters with a capacity of 85 and 110 hp. and a new 1.3-liter turbo engine from Mercedes, which develops 156 hp.
In the future, a new turbocharged “four” 1.3 TCi will receive 2 more cars of the French brand: cross-van Triber and crossover HBC.
In addition, it was recently noted that the Renault Triber budget compact will receive a version with the robotized AMT. The new model will be on sale this spring.
