Renault continues to test the updated KwidMay 17, 2019
The test mule Renault Kwid photospies “caught” during the next test drive. The car was safely hidden under a dense camouflage film, however, it was still possible to discern some exterior elements.
The appearance of Renault Kwid on the market is not expected until the fourth quarter of 2019. In the meantime, the French brand continues to test prototypes of the updated model. One of these test drives was watched by photospies. As a result – pictures of the “camouflaged” news, leaked to foreign media. The test mule captured on the photo received steel wheels and matte black overlays on the rear-view mirrors instead of the previous glossy ones decorated with two colors. This indicates that the prototype seen on the road has an initial configuration.
Camouflage film could not hide the “relief” of the future news, as well as its optics. Renault Kwid 2020 model year boasts a modified grille, a new duct grill geometry, recycled bumpers, “refreshed” taillights and original LED optics. LED DRLs, by the way, are already available in the “base”.
The interior of the restyled Kwid did not get into the lens of photo spies. Autoexperts expect to see inside the cabin of a compact hatchback new trim materials, as well as the recently debuted Infotainment system MediaNav. The update will affect the motor line. The new Kwid will be equipped with advanced BS-VI engines. This is a 54-horsepower power unit of 0.8 liters and a liter capacity of 68 hp. A couple of them will be a manual or automatic gearbox in five steps.
With the new Kwid, the company hopes to regain its former share in the A-segment.
