Renault and Dacia will stop producing the same modelsJune 28, 2018
Under the brands Renault and Dacia will cease to produce the same cars: the models will not only have different platforms, but also the body design, and interior design. This is reported by the French newspaper Le Figaro. The first car, released under the new strategy, will be a coupe-like crossover C-SUV – in the Dacia range, the SUV will not have an analog.
According to Le Figaro, the management of the French brand wants to unify the international image of the brand: to produce models with a unified design and completely exclude badging engineering. The last model, developed in the old strategy, was Duster second generation, which is presented under the brand Dacia, and Renault.
The best seller of the Russian market – Logan – in the next generation will also be developed taking into account the market. The European version will get an expensive version of the CMF-B platform with improved engines and electronics, and machines for other markets will be built on a modernized B0 platform.
