Refreshed minivan Kia Carnival: “ice cubes” and a new transmissionMarch 13, 2018
Updated Carnival received other radiator grilles and bumpers, upgraded headlights and other taillights with LED-stuffing. In expensive versions of the minivan there are branded LED fog lights Kia, made in the style of “ice cubes”. In the interior there are practically no changes, except that the schedule of instruments is improved. In Korea, the Kia Carnival is offered in 7-, 9- or 11-seat performance. Seven-seat version is called Limousine, this version in the second row has ottoman chairs (with footstools).
Note, in the home market, the pre-reform minivan still has a “luxury” (Hi-Limousine) and is designed for long-distance travel (Outdoor) modifications. In the salon of the top venom, there are more expensive materials for finishing, and in the back of the front seats are built-in tablets. Carnival Outdoor has a box on the roof. These two versions have not yet been updated.
Koreans restyling van is available with the same engines: gasoline engine 3.3 GDI (280 hp) and turbodiesel 2.2 E-VGT (202 hp). At the same time, the six-speed automatic was replaced by an eight-speed automatic transmission, familiar from the other latest models of the Hyundai-Kia concern.
The list of equipment of the updated Carnival includes: intelligent cruise control, lane-keeping systems, preventing frontal collision, monitoring blind areas and automatic switching of headlights, multimedia complex with a touchscreen and voice control, a rear-view camera, wireless charging for a smartphone.
In Korea, sales of a refreshed van have already started. The price of the model is from 28,800,000 won.
