Rare blue Lancia Delta will be sold at auctionJanuary 17, 2021
This is one of 215 examples of the special version of the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II Blue Lagos
We have already talked about one of the lots of the Sotheby’s auction in Scottsdale, Arizona – this is a rare Ferrari 375 America with a body made by the Carrozzeria Vignale studio. Now it’s the turn of another car. We are talking about Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II Blue Lagos, of which only 215 units were produced.
The five-door hatchback Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II, unlike the first Evolutions, no longer took part in races. The Italians simply continued to release the legendary model to the delight of fans and collectors around the world. The engine was once again modified with a new Garrett turbocharger and Marelli control unit, as well as slightly tweaked the exterior. For example, the wheels were replaced and the roof moldings were painted in body color. The interior is decorated with Momo steering wheel and Recaro seats.
The two-liter “four” on the Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II developed 215 horsepower and 314 Nm of torque. From zero to “hundred” the hatchback accelerated in 5.7 seconds, and its maximum speed was 220 kilometers per hour – the same performance was in the Evo I and HF integrale 16V. The entire circulation of the second Evolutions was actually divided between limited editions. There were seven of them in total, including the Final Edition. The farewell series of 250 cars was intended for Japan, and they can be distinguished by their different-sized headlights and a fine mesh pattern of the radiator grille.
The Blue Lagos version was released in the amount of 215 pieces. There were no technical differences from other Evo IIs. Only the color was special – blue, and the upholstery – cream leather. This hatchback instance spent most of its life in Germany and Italy. Then, through Belgium, I got to the States. In April 2020, the battery, oil filters and timing belt were replaced on the car; installed a set of original brakes. The Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II Blue Lagos mileage is 39,000 kilometers, and the price, according to Sotheby’s experts, could be 90-110 thousand dollars
However, collectors can spend money on a much rarer car – the Futurista restomod from Automobili Amos (AA). It is a 16V version, converted into a three-door and equipped with a re-assembled original 300 hp engine. The body of the Futurist is made of aluminum and carbon fiber. The price is approaching 300 thousand euros – and this is if you order a car directly from AA.
