Rare 6-wheel Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 is on saleNovember 8, 2020
A 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 is up for auction on the Bring A Trailer website.
The 3-axle pickup was assembled at Magna Steyr’s facility in 2014 for a customer in Japan, but is sold in the United States. At the time of publication of the material, the bid for the car reached $ 576,760, but there are still four days before the end of the auction.
Recall that in the period from 2013 to 2015, Mercedes-Benz and their Austrian technology partner Magna Steyr produced only 100 such pickups. Each is equipped with a 5.5-liter V8 engine producing 544 hp, a 7-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with five differential locks. The ground clearance of the 6-wheel Geländewagen reaches 460 mm.
The new car has a black body, and the four-seat interior is finished in black designo leather with red stitching, Alcantara and carbon. The mileage of this instance is slightly more than 78 800 km.
The pickup was imported from Japan to the US last year, but the 6m truck came with a number of restrictions. By a special order of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 has the status of show or display, that is, it is considered an exhibition specimen. This status implies that a car can drive a little more than 4000 km per year, and with each change of ownership, this must be approved by the department.
