Ram revealed the details of the new Chassis CabFebruary 10, 2019
The company told about their new models. The Chassis Cab version is designed for harsh environments and is suitable for a wide range of applications. It is available for models 3500, 4500 and 5500.
Under the hood, the familiar 6.4-liter Hemi V8 is installed, which comes as standard. It is equipped with a cylinder deactivation system. Power reaches 410 hp (306 kW) at the Ram 3500, 370 hp (226 kW) at 4500 and 5500. The torque of all models is 582 Nm. Also available is a 6.7-liter inline six-cylinder Cummins turbodiesel, which will provide 360 hp. (269 kW) and 1085 Nm of torque.
For Ram offer a new eight-speed automatic transmission, as well as a six-speed automatic.
Depending on the configuration, Ram pickups can tow up to 15,975 kg. Load capacity is 5675 kg. Despite the increase in overall size, the new models are about 55 kg lighter than previous versions. This is achieved, including through the installation of an aluminum hood.
Security systems include adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, trailer braking, parking assistance and a set of cameras.
Four versions will be available: Tradesman, SLT, Laramie and the new Limited. In the cabin, depending on the configuration, there will be offered 3.5- and 7-inch displays with working information. The Uconnect system is available with a 12-inch display.
Sales of the new Ram Chassis Cab will begin in the second quarter of 2019.
