Ram pickups got “very black” special versionsSeptember 28, 2019
The debut of performances of Black Edition and Night Edition timed to coincide with the Texas Fair
Ram introduced special versions of pickups with black accents – the gamut of the “light” 1500 series was expanded due to the Limited Black Edition, and the Heavy Duty series trucks got a Night Edition modification. Both limited editions will go on sale before the end of the year.
The Black Edition design is an antichrome package, tinted windows, black tailpipes, 22-inch graphite wheels, darkened lighting fixtures and a hood with air ducts. The “very black” Ram of the 1500 line is positioned as the “most luxurious pickups in the segment” equipped with the same power units V6 3.0 liters, V8 5.7 liters and a moderate hybrid V6 3.6 liters and are available with rear or all-wheel drive.
For buyers of heavy pickups, Heavy Duty Ram has prepared a less extreme Night Edition styling. From the usual trucks, the special version is distinguished by darkened headlights and lanterns, a black painted radiator grille, logos and rims. The “night” design version can be ordered with a single or double cab, rear or all-wheel drive. Along with conventional pickups, the Night Edition version is available for gasoline trucks with a 6.4-liter V8 rated at 416 horsepower and for diesel cars with a 6.8-liter Cummins “six” with a torque of 1356 Nm.
The Ram 1500 Black Edition has already gone on sale with a base price of $ 53,690. Their cargo versions in the performance of the Night Edition will be available in the fourth quarter at a price of $ 37,995.
