Ram is not going to stop selling the classic pickup truck 1500June 26, 2018
Now it is not uncommon for many automakers to sell a new generation of their model at the same time as the old one. The American brand Ram, for a long time did not take such a strategy, but still decided to use it.
The pick-up of the Ram 1500 Classic can be a more reasonable purchase if you only need a utility car and you do not want to overpay for additional not-so-needed “chips” that have appeared in the new generation of the model. For both versions of the pickup, it was decided to simplify the number of bundles – now there are only 4 of them: Tradesman, Express, Big Horn / Lone Star and SSV. Buyers will be asked to choose between 3 options for the layout of the cab, 3 modifications of the cargo platform, as well as a drive to one axle or both.
It is reported that the full-size pick-up Ram 1500 Classic (code-named DS) will be offered along with the new DT model – side by side, the “old man” and its receiver will be sold throughout 2018.
Initially, a new generation of Ram pickup will be offered with the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar or a more powerful 5.7-liter V8 HEMI, and later the engine range will be replenished with the 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel. The only thing that remains unknown at the moment is the price of the old and new version of the American pickup truck.
Although the Ram brand has significantly reduced the number of versions available for the previous generation of the 1500 model, there are still many ways that customers will be able to personalize their future pickup. So, by purchasing an additional package of options Chrome Plus, the exterior of the car adds shiny chrome bumpers, 17-inch wheels, a slightly different front part – it also includes various additions to the salon. In addition, for an additional fee you can buy fog lights, 20-inch chrome wheels, double “exhaust”.
