Ram hides “Easter egg” in his powerful pickup 1500 TRX 2021September 19, 2020
The creators of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX high-performance truck have an Easter egg in store for their fans. Hidden under the engine cover is an image of the T. Rex dinosaur holding its worst enemy, another dinosaur, Raptor, in its teeth.
One would think that Ford and Ram are playing the game, which of their pickup trucks, which are called the oldest dinosaurs, is better, but this is not so. The Ram 1500 TRX was previously thought to be named after the T. Rex dinosaur, which is the enemy of the Raptor dinosaur (Ford Raptor). But no, Ram chose the name TRX only because he had all the necessary rights to it. However, the guys at Ram still wanted their pickup to represent the fearsome T. Rex dinosaur. This is what the recently discovered “Easter egg” is talking about.
The video, posted on one of the Instagram accounts, shows a unique “Easter egg” hiding under the hood of the TRX – an image of the T. Rex dinosaur, which has its ardent opponent, Raptor, clamped in its razor-sharp teeth.
The blood dripping down the T. Rex’s chin lends this dinosaur its ferocity. To find this image, you need to not only open the hood, but also remove the plastic engine cover. It’s located right there in the front of the engine compartment. Chances are, some high performance Ram 1500 TRX truck owners will never find this fun Easter egg.
The Easter Egg is another rock in the Ford Raptor’s garden, as Ram seeks to compete with the Raptor after Ford’s long-standing pickup truck was the only powerful pickup on the market. The Ram’s highlight is the engine – a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 borrowed from the Hellcat models. It produces 702 horsepower (881 Nm). That’s significantly more than what the Raptor’s powertrain has to offer – it’s a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 that develops 450 hp. (691 Nm).
We are eager to see how the TRX and Raptor meet in a string of off-road tests and comparisons. TRX is much more powerful, but also more expensive – its minimum price is 69,995 dollars. $ 16,000 base version of the 2020 Ford Raptor.
Not so long ago, AutoTimewsNews wrote that the Ford F-150 pickup will receive a powerful electric version. Production of the updated Ford F-150 has already started in the United States. And today, September 17, the American company announced that it is investing $ 700 million in the development of the enterprise, including the organization of the production of an electric version of the pickup.
