Rally Ford Focus against liquid soapAugust 20, 2018
The Hoonigans team checked to see if the Ford Focus, prepared for the rally-cross, could move from a place on a very slippery surface. For this, the machine was placed on a special platform with bumpers, inside of which liquid soap was poured. In the first test, the Focus started with the included race control, in the second – the driver, Canadian racer Steve Arpin, quickly switched gears – from the first to the sixth.
The first test confirmed that despite the minimal grip of the wheels with the surface, the mechanical all-wheel drive and high horsepower – about 650 horsepower – allow the Focus RS RX to get out of the “soap trap”. In this case, the wheels continue to scroll until the sixth gear.
