Racer and gamer staged a race on the Mustang with glued windowsMarch 22, 2018
The company Castrol organized a race in the style of the video game Need For Speed between a professional racer and a gamer. Participants were put behind the wheel of this car and released on a specially prepared track, stylized as a virtual track.
In the race, the Ford Mustang was used, which was completely closed by the glasses and mounted behind the camera, which broadcasts the picture on the display in the cabin. Thus, the riders could see themselves from the side, as in the game. At the same time, some sections of the route were marked with virtual prompts.
Recently, Honda has organized a similar race. Using the technology of augmented reality, the driver in the real world could see the “ghost” of the machine of his virtual opponent.
