Pulcini best on tests in Barcelona, Schwartzman 3rdApril 10, 2019
Pilot Hitech GP Leonardo Pulcini showed the best time on the first day of the second series of Formula 3 tests in Barcelona. The Italian drove a lap on the Catalan highway for 1: 33.007. The second time showed Liam Lawson of MP Motorsport, the third pilot of Prema Robert Schwartzman.
The best times were shown in the morning session. On the first line, Pulcini, Lawson and Schwartzman succeeded each other several times, until in the last seconds of the session Pulcini established the final result. Not without red flags – Andreas Estner hit the wall.
In the break between the sessions in Barcelona, there was a little rain, complicating the work of the teams. Already in the first hour, the races were twice interrupted – after stopping Niko Kari in the sixth turn and Artem Petrov’s departure in the third. Two more times the session was stopped after the stopping of Ye Yiphei and the departure of Teppei Natori.
In the second half of the session, the track was completely dry, the results increased, but still lost in the morning. The best time was shown by Felipe Druhovic from Carlin, the second and third results were left for ART pilots Max Fyutrell and David Beckmann. Robert Schwartzman who worked on long series this time was the ninth, but he showed the best time of the Prema pilots.
