Independent designer represent a potential successor to the current STI, based on the concept of Viziv Performance.
A couple of minutes ago, the render of the next generation Japanese Subaru WRX STI was published. The design was largely influenced by the Subaru Viziv Performance Concept concept, which was presented at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show.
Fans of the current generation of sports sedan WRX STI will notice that this design can be called more evolutionary than revolutionary. Despite the impressive characteristics of the rally car and the giant rear wing in the rear, it is still the good old Subaru.
The car on this visualization looks pretty good. The powerful STI model of the WRX has always remained true to its roots: a four-door body, four-wheel drive, a turbo engine and much more.
Despite the fact that the current generation of the model is the most sophisticated version, this is still the same basic design recipe that we loved in 2004.
In this rendering, the curvilinear hexagonal false radiator grille is preserved, as well as the muscular wings and halogen headlights are C-shaped. It all looks a bit more complicated than the current car.
What could be under the hood of the next generation of the “charged” model? While we heard about the next-generation hybrid setup in the next-generation WRX, we hope that STI will finally get a “hot” version of the more classic FA25 engine.
Not so long ago, we wrote that Subaru will present the Viziv Adrenaline Concept with a very brutal style.
