According to 32cars, the new product will be available at launch with two motors and four transmissions to choose from. As a transmission, the engine relies on an 8-band hydromechanical automatic, but a 7-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches from the Hyundai Veloster hatchback is provided for Tucson. A hybrid transmission with an additional 59 hp electric motor will work with the same power unit. and a 6-band automatic transmission.
The second will be the 2.0-liter diesel engine of the R family, which debuted on the current Tucson. Its output is 182 hp. As a transmission – 8-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive transmission can only be ordered with this unit.
Another notable feature of the new Tucson is that it is 50-80 kg lighter than the current one in comparable versions.
