At the specialized forum BMW Bimmerpost, the first technical characteristics of the long-awaited Bavarian novelty, announced a few years ago, the BMW iX crossover, appeared.
The Bavarian novelty will have many “hypertrophied accents”. According to users of the BMW Bimmerpost portal, the standard equipment of the BMW iX electric crossover will include giant 20-inch wheels, which, at the request of the client, and for his money, of course, can be changed to 21- or 22-inch. In addition, the car will boast a large panoramic roof called the Sky Lounge Roof and a thermally insulated windshield.
Also, as an option, the model will have Personal CoPilot technology, which is most likely associated with the autonomous driving function, and Natural Interaction. The latter is expected to allow driving with just gestures.
Customers will also receive a premium Harman Kardon audio system, but as an option, you can order the more expensive Bower and Wilkins. In addition, the electric car will boast an improved iDrive media system. The novelty will be the flagship of the BMW electric line. Serial production of the BMW iX should start in the second half of this year.
Recall that a few days ago, BMW posted a humorous video featuring the new iX. The video published shows the confrontation between two cars: the old BMW 760i and the newest electric BMW iX. It is worth mentioning that the cars “come to life” and conduct a dialogue, the main theme of which was the superiority of electrification over classic internal combustion engines, as well as a more advanced multimedia system and constant connection to the network.
