Published render BMW Z4 2020 coupe versionJanuary 18, 2019
A new generation of Japanese sports coupe Toyota Supra was introduced earlier this week. It’s no secret that Toyota created the new Supra in partnership with the Bavarian brand BMW, which introduced the updated Z4 back in August last year. This roadster is built on the same platform as the Toyota Supra.
Designer Kleber Silva presented us his vision of what the BMW Z4 roadster will look like in a coupe.
In fact, representatives of the German automaker have repeatedly talked about the likelihood of the appearance of this car.
Well, let’s sign with this computer visualization? So, the front part of the “Bavarian novelty” looks … the same as the roadster version. The side of the car seems to have been borrowed from the Japanese coupe. I dare to suggest that BMW engineers use a significantly different approach to creating the design of the roof and the rear of the coupe – if this version of the model is actually decided to produce.
Curiously, the reaction of the automotive public to the new Toyota Supra was ambiguous, to say the least. The brand was subjected to some criticism for having slightly softened the appearance of the serial car, in contrast to the previously presented concepts. Many say that the exterior of the model is more like a BMW than a Toyota. As for the performance of the Japanese coupe, overclocking from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds is not a bad result, although this is not the 382-hp version of the 3.0-liter six, which is equipped with the BMW Z4 roadster.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the BMW brand officially presented the updated 7-Series 2020 sedan.
