The representative of the Japanese automobile brand in the United States published data on prices for an updated version of the Nissan Leaf 2020 electric hatchback model year. For the 2020 model year electric vehicle, the Nissan Safety Shield 360 safety system has become standard.
It includes automatic emergency braking with the detection of pedestrians, a warning about leaving the occupied lane, a warning about rear cross traffic, a warning about the “blind” zone, automatically adjustable high beams, a warning about leaving the lane and automatic braking. As additional functions, an intelligent “monitor” is also offered, which will continuously assess the situation around the car and notify the driver of all changes.
Another security-related update is the change in the tone and volume of the “safety sounds” that are intended for pedestrians. Noises continue to remain constant while driving forward at speeds up to 30 km / h or in the form of a pulsating chime – if the car is traveling backwards.
The 40 kWh Leaf versions of the Leaf now get an eight-inch infotainment system screen. The system has support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2020 Leaf has now more airbags. The driver and front passenger have knee airbags. There are also side airbags installed in the back seat.
Not so long ago, we wrote that Nissan introduced a new twin-engine four-wheel drive transmission for electric vehicles.
