Published prices for hybrid versions of the new Skoda OctaviaSeptember 10, 2020
The Czech automaker is expanding its range of modifications for its new Skoda Octavia. So, not only the mild hybrid version went on sale, but also the plug-in hybrid Octavia iV.
Until now, the number of modifications of the new Octavia has been very “limited”. Previously, the model was available in Europe with a 1.5-liter 150-horsepower engine. It was later joined by a version with a 1.0-liter 100 hp engine. Now Dutch dealers have new hybrid versions.
We’ll start with the most electrified version – the Skoda Octavia 1.4 iV plug-in hybrid. This modification, which was already announced during the Octavia’s debut, is powered by a 1.4 TSI engine with 156 hp, which works in conjunction with a 102 hp electric motor. The battery has a capacity of 13 kW / h, which makes it possible to travel only on electric traction for about 60 kilometers. The Skoda Octavia 1.4 iV, which can be distinguished externally only by the set of iV emblems, has slightly less luggage space due to the presence of a battery. The Octavia 1.4 iV Hatchback accelerates to 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds, compared with 7.8 seconds for the Combi 1.4 iV station wagon. The maximum speed of both versions is 220 km / h.
The Dutch importer is asking € 35,690 for the Octavia Hatchback 1.4 iV Business Edition and € 37,190 for the Octavia Combi 1.4 iV Business Edition. The top version Business Edition Plus will cost a little more, which is priced at 38,190 and 39,690 euros, respectively.
The 110-horsepower 1.0 TSI, which so far is only available in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission, will be complemented by a mild hybrid system so it will receive a DSG automatic transmission. The starting price of the Skoda Octavia Hatchback 1.0 TSI e-TEC DSG is 29,890 euros. Combi price – 31 390 euros.
However, both the Octavia Hatchback and the Octavia Combi will be available with a 131 hp 1.5 TSI G-Tec engine that also runs on gas. The Octavia 1.5 TSI G-Tec models have three natural gas tanks, which provide a range of about 500 km. In addition, they have a 9-liter gas tank, which increases the range by about 190 km to 690 km. The Octavia Hatchback costs 32,990 euros as the 1.5 TSI G-Tec Business Edition. Combi costs 34,490 euros.
A little later, Skoda intends to release several more versions of the Octavia – modifications of the RS iV and a mild hybrid 1.5 TSI e-TEC DSG.
