Spies managed to take some photos of the prototype during road tests.
Skoda Octavia of the next generation received the interior design in the style of the last Volkswagen Golf. This is evidenced by spy photos that were at the disposal of the site Carscoops.
The new Octavia is built on a modular platform MQB. Other innovations of the Volkswagen concern – the Golf, Seat Leon and Audi A3 – are based on the same architecture. This explains the similarity of interior design, in particular, the location of the big screen multimedia system at the level of the dashboard. On it you can see a digital image of the exterior of the car. As expected, the Octavia will get rid of the “four-eyed” front optics: it will be replaced by narrowed headlights.

The engine range is likely to include gasoline turbo 1.0 TSI, 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TSI, as well as diesel engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. The company can make them a power plant with a soft hybrid drive and a 48-volt electric motor acting as a starter-generator.
The premiere of the model will be held in the autumn at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and in European sales will start next year.
