Published new pictures of the BMW X8October 7, 2020
American journalists have again photographed the future flagship BMW X8 of the brand.
BMW continues to test its new BMW X8 crossover on public roads. Judging by the fresh pictures, the car will be largely similar to the BMW X7, but the models will still differ. So, journalists believe that the novelty will receive a flatter front, different headlights and a flatter hood.
Interestingly, unlike the BMW X4 and BMW X6, the novelty will not be made in the now fashionable “coupe” style, but in comparison with the BMW X7 it will receive a more sloping rear roof section and rounded rear fenders. The shape and pattern of the taillights has not yet been discerned due to the huge amount of camouflage on them.
Judging by the sticker on the bumper, the test sample is equipped with a hybrid power plant, according to experts, the crossover will receive a hybrid from the BMW 745e sedan, which includes a 3-liter engine and an electric motor with a total capacity of 394 hp. Later, the BMW X8M is expected to come out with a hybrid power plant based on a 4.4-liter turbo engine with a capacity of at least 750 hp. The debut date of the novelty is not yet known.
