Published details about the updated Kia StingerSeptember 4, 2019
The Korean automaker, with its new Stinger, showed the world that they could make a luxury sports sedan and brought new customers to the brand, but 2 years have passed since the model entered the market.
An AutoPostKorea article talks about some of the new Kia Stinger changes that Korean Gran Turismo will undergo. It is expected that the updated model will appear in June 2020.
Kia representatives previously said that in June last year, the company managed to sell 1,506 copies of the model, while sales in 2019 fell to 1,092 units. Since the beginning of the year, 8,013 cars have been sold, but sales in 2018 reached 10,114 cars.
Apparently, the novelty will receive power plants from the updated Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima. Thus, under the hood of the redesigned version of the Kia Stinger, there will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine. In addition, the model already in the database will acquire options such as swivel front optics and a new driver airbag control system with switching to sport mode.
The trim level, which was previously available in the top version with a 3.3-liter biturbo engine, may also be available for the 2.0 Turbo and 2.2 Platinum models.
