Prototype sedan BMW 1-Series spotted on the roadsNovember 7, 2018
It is possible that this is not a new generation of model, but only a restyling of the existing version.
According to the original idea of the leadership of the Bavarian brand BMW, the 1-Series sedan was to be sold only in China. However, in June of this year, the automaker changed its decision and presented a model for the Mexican car market, hinting at a possible launch of the car in other countries. The new party of “spy” photos once again feeds such rumors.
The prototype of the car, the photos of which we publish, was photographed in Munich, Germany.
It has a slightly camouflaged front and even less camouflaged back. Unfortunately, we have not been able to notice any changes in the appearance of the car, compared with the version that is sold in the People’s Republic of China and Mexico. But since there is a film and changes (at least some) should also be.
At the moment, nothing can be said for sure, but these “spy” pictures may indicate that the brand’s engineers are still developing their small sedan for Europe. In the end, BMW has no competitor for the Audi A3 Sedan or Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan / CLA, and the BMW 1-Series sedan could be the way out.
However, last year the Bavarian company said it sees no particular reason to start selling a small sedan in Europe. According to marketers of the company, the demand for such a small but expensive car is likely to be weak.
