Production of the Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup truck will begin in 2021November 14, 2019
The car will be assembled in the US state of Alabama.
Hyundai spoke about its plans to build a compact pickup truck Santa Cruz. The debut of the car is scheduled for 2021 – it should be held in the United States. The car will also be produced in America – at the plant of the Korean company in Montgomery, Alabama. It is noteworthy that despite the already known production dates and premieres, the company did not share the appearance of the new car. The car was first introduced in Detroit in 2015 as a concept car. Since then, Hyundai has not released a single teaser model. We can say for sure that the pickup will be compact, which is somewhat unusual for the American car market. However, it is the novelty that can ensure Santa Cruz a good start to sales.
The pickup should get an all-wheel drive system, and the car’s cabin will be available in several variations, depending on the configuration.
Since the production of Santa Cruz starts in less than two years, everyone will soon expect the first prototypes of the model. In the US car market, Santa Cruz will face serious competition, as it recently announced the return of the Ford Ranger and the expansion of the Jeep Gladiator line.
