Production of electric Mercedes-Benz EQC is scheduled for mid-2019November 8, 2018
One of the divisions of the German concern, which includes the company Mercedes-Benz intends to double the number of its employees to 1,000 by the end of 2018. Thus, preparations will be made for the launch of a second battery manufacturing plant in Kamenets, Germany.
It is known that at the moment more than 200,000 batteries have been released for eco-friendly models of the concern.
It has also been reported that, starting in spring 2019, the second Daimler plant will begin mass production of new batteries for the new, all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQC crossover.
Well, the assembly of the new product starts in the middle of next year, as the batteries must first be sent for testing at the plant in Bremen, Germany. According to representatives of the German brand, the first all-electric crossover is at the stage of pre-production since this summer. By the way, the batteries for it will be manufactured at 8 factories.
It is known that in total, the Daimler leadership invested about 500 million euros to modernize its enterprise in the city of Kamenz. And in order that by the end of 2022 at the disposal of the concern there were more than 130 electrified models, including more than 10 all-electric cars, 10 billion euros were spent. Obviously, the guys from Daimler are very much looking forward to a quick return on their environmentally friendly projects.
