Prices for the new Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport publishedDecember 4, 2020
The direct competitor to the Honda Civic Type R is priced at £ 37,315.
Volkswagen has announced the price of an extreme version of its front-wheel-drive “charged” Golf GTI Clubsport hatchback. The novelty is equipped with a 296-horsepower turbo engine, which is paired with a 7-speed “robot” and front-wheel drive. In order to increase the difference between it and the Golf R model, the manufacturer abandoned the manual transmission.
In addition to the powerful engine, the new Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport is equipped with a new electronic differential, re-tuned steering, more powerful brakes and a sports suspension. In addition, a new one has appeared among the usual driving modes: Special. It should be noted that not all buyers of this car will be able to fully appreciate its merits for one simple reason – it was developed for the Nurburgring.
Speaking of the Nurburgring, the Golf GTI Clubsport runs 13 seconds faster than the regular Golf GTI. Among other things, the novelty has acquired sophisticated aerodynamics, LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, sports seats upholstered in perforated leather and much more. The base version of the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport will cost at least £ 37,315. Unlike the previous generation of hot hatch, the novelty is not limited in circulation.
