Presented a luxurious version of the minivan Buick GL8March 13, 2020
The American company has unveiled the prestigious performance of its old minivan GL8. The new version of the model received the prefix Avenir. The car will be available in a four-seater layout and will be intended mainly for the Chinese market.
Last year, Buick unveiled the chic GL8 Avenir minivan concept at the China Motor Show. “The luxury car, from sophisticated airline-style head restraints to the reclining rear seats, has the sophistication and performance of a premium sedan,” the official press release said.
In 2020, Buick will turn the concept into a production model, introducing the revised GL8 Avenir model with a four-seater layout, joining the updated version of the model.
Judging by the published images, the interior design is largely similar to the interior of last year’s concept. However, there are differences. For example, in the production model there will be no center console of “full length”. These comfortable rear seats seem almost identical to those used on the concept, and after getting rid of the second row there is a lot of legroom. The dashboard has been modified and now contains a pair of digital screens.
Introduced back in 2000, the GL8 is actually the oldest Buick in China. The company does not want to go into details about the most luxurious version of the minivan yet. “Significant technological upgrades” promised to keep the car competitive.
