Presentation of the Porsche 911 Targa 4 and Targa 4SMay 18, 2020
Porsche Corporation on Monday, May 18, showed off the 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S.
Like its predecessor, the novelty has an automatic roof system, in particular, consisting of a round rear window, which, according to the company, can open and close in 19 seconds.
The 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S are powered by a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine. In Targa 4, this engine develops 380 hp. (450 Nm), and in the Targa 4S – 444 hp (530 Nm). According to Porsche, the Targa 4 can accelerate to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds, and the Targa 4S in 3.6 seconds. The maximum speed of the Targa 4 is 289 km / h, and the Targa 4S is 304 km / h.
Cars come standard with an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox and Porsche Traction Management intelligent all-wheel drive system. At the same time, a 7-speed manual transmission is optionally offered for the Targa 4S.
The machines are also equipped with the Porsche Active Suspension Management system, which provides comfortable handling in any traffic situation. In particular, the cars received the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus system, which uses an electronic rear differential lock with the possibility of torque distribution.
The 911 Targa 4 comes with 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels, and the Targa 4S comes with 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels by default. Braking in the Targa 4 is provided by 4-piston calipers and 330 mm discs. The 4S received 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston rear, as well as 350 mm discs.
