As planned, the long-awaited new product was shown on March 30 online.

After the Genesis brand hit the market, its cars were more like recycled Hyundai cars. The features of premium cars were added to them, but there were no cardinal differences. Recently, Genesis is developing at a very rapid pace. Today was the presentation of the long-awaited G80 sedan, which will open a new page in the history of the brand. The length of the car was 4,995 mm with a wheelbase of 3,010 mm, which will provide a large space in the cabin. The width of the car is 1 925 mm and the height is 1 465 mm.

Through the use of a new platform and a body made of other materials, the car’s weight has become 110 kilograms lighter than the previous generation. The car adopted some elements of the exterior from the GV80 crossover – we are mainly talking about the dual design of the head optics. We also note the pentagonal design of the grille with a large number of cells. It is also worth highlighting the long hood and sharp lines of the wings, which focus on the large 20-inch wheels. The interior of the novelty turned out to be innovative.

For the car, a specially developed 3D digital panel. Genesis G80 also equipped with a premium 14.5-inch multimedia system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Experts worked very seriously on the review from the passenger compartment Рthey managed to narrow the front pillars, so the review became better both through the windshield and through the rear-view mirrors. Due to the laconic design of the front panel, it was possible to visually expand the space inside the cabin.

The engine range was 3 power units. The base will be a 2.5-liter turbo engine with a return of 300 hp. Customers will also be able to choose a modification with a more powerful 3.5-liter engine rated at 375 hp. The 3.0-liter diesel engine was replaced by a 2.2-liter power unit capable of delivering 207 hp. Serial production of the car starts on April 4. First, the new Genesis G80 will appear on the South Korean market, and by the end of the year should reach the United States and Canada.
