Preparations for the production of a seven-seater Hyundai CretaJune 16, 2020
Hyundai Corporation is preparing to produce a 7-seater variation of the Hyundai Creta cross for India.
According to the local press, the installation and readjustment of equipment for the production of the seven-seater version of the cross was launched at the enterprise in Chennai on June 15.
According to the assumptions, the 3-row Creta will be produced on the same lines as the standard cross of the second generation, the production of which started on March 16. All preparatory procedures should take 5 days, and the release of a new model should begin in the fourth quarter of 2020.
The range of engines of the big Creta is likely to be shared with the standard model, which is offered in India with a 115-horsepower naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter engine, a 115-horsepower turbodiesel of the same volume and a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine from KIA Seltos. Together with the first, a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT functions, with the second – a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed robotic transmission with double clutch.
The appearance of the new model has not yet been revealed, however, judging by the spy photos that have already appeared, the 7-seater Creta will be much longer and higher than the usual cross, and it will also get a chrome radiator grill with a different “mesh”, a slightly modified front bumper and an additional side window.
In addition, it was recently reported that Hyundai Venue received a new package in South Korea.
