Pre-ordered Verge TS Electric Wheel Wheel Hub OpenMay 20, 2020
Finnish company Verge has opened pre-orders for the TS electric motorcycle. The model is characterized by high torque, range of up to 300 km and a unique appearance: its rear wheel is devoid of a hub. It will cost $ 27,000. The first deliveries are scheduled for early next year.
According to New Atlas, a centerless engine in the rear wheel will provide the motorcycle with a power of 80 kW and a torque of 1000 N * m. This will allow you to accelerate to 100 km / h in just 4 seconds. Nothing is known about the characteristics of the suspension and brakes.
The manufacturer does not disclose the battery capacity, but claims that the TS will be able to travel 200-300 km on a single charge. It takes 4 hours to fully charge the battery from the outlet, and 45 minutes from the DC source. Despite the powerful battery, the weight of the entire motorcycle is only about 200 kg.
The cost of pre-order TS is $ 27,000, of which $ 2,160 is required as a deposit. Production of the model will be launched at the end of this year, and the first deliveries are expected in early 2021.
Japanese engineers created an inflatable electric bike called Poimo. Having taken it out of an ordinary backpack and pumping it up in a minute, the owner quickly reached it from the metro to work or home. It will turn out exactly faster than on foot.
