Porsche’s Top Five Secret PrototypesDecember 20, 2018
Porsche has published another video series “Top-5”, in which she spoke about her secret prototypes. The open two-door Cayenne, based on the design project for the Seat Porsche 984 and the odd single 911 Carrera 3.2 Speedster, made the list.
A special place in the video is occupied by the prototype Porsche Panamericana, built to the 80th anniversary of Ferdinand Porsche on the 964 Cabriolet Carrera 4 units. The design of the unusual roadster was developed by Ulrich Bets who put his hand on the BMW Z1. The car received a carbon-fiber body with open wheel arches, a long-stroke suspension, and a removable rag roof.
The very first place went to the “bare” chassis of the super hybrid 918 Spyder. In early 2012, in such a supercar was shown to journalists. In the future, the self-propelled platform helped build the fastest production car in the history of the brand.
Earlier, Porsche released commercials about the fastest sports cars, the most expensive auction models, the five favorite models of Wolfgang Porsche, the best air-cooled sports cars, the cars with the fastest overclocking, the five lightest and most important cars in the brand’s history.
