Porsche will show the most powerful 911 onlineFebruary 29, 2020
The upcoming 992-based Porsche 911 Turbo is arguably the fastest car in recent years, but the company still feels the need to put it undercover and “tease” with its premiere on March 3.
Following the cancellation of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, Porsche released a short video in which the new king of the 911 family is hidden and awaits his big revelation, which will take place online through a live broadcast.
Porsche didn’t even bother to add a lot of camouflage to its latest test cars, while images of the real 921 Turbo of 2021 in all its glory were also reflected on the Internet, so we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
The Stuttgart-based company will introduce both the Turbo and Turbo S versions of the 911, which use an updated version of the twin-cylinder 3.8-liter turbocharged universal engine, as in previous models. The “basic” Turbo will cost about 580 hp, while the Turbo S will offer at least 650 hp.
The latter will also be able to cause a serious blow to the driver and passenger at a speed of 0-100 km / h in 2.7. The maximum speed of the new Porsche 911 Turbo S will be set at 334 km / h. Four-wheel drive is, of course, present, with limited slip differentials in the middle and rear, while Porsche has chosen the latest eight-speed automatic transmission with dual clutch as standard. The new 911 Turbo and Turbo S models, of course, will be different from the rest of the 911 family due to their specific aviation program and a number of delightful wider wings.
