Porsche plans to expand the Taycan family with a fourth “affordable” model.
As Autohome informs on Tuesday, June 23, the new product should be shown on June 29 of this year. Unlike the Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S, which have an all-wheel drive system and two electric motors, the new model will be available only with rear-wheel drive and a single electric motor.
In April of this year, Porsche announced that the main market for the “budget” Taycan will be Chinese, but this does not mean that the model will not appear in other countries. It is assumed that the “affordable” Taycan will offer the largest power reserve in the family, while remaining a fairly fast car.
The novelty will be located one step below the Taycan 4S, which costs 1.148 million, therefore, it will cost less. As for the autonomy of the new model, then everything, of course, will depend on the capacity of the battery. For example, Taycan 4S with a battery of 79.2 kW / h on a single charge can travel up to 326 km through the EPA cycle.
In addition, it was recently noted that the tuning company TechArt has prepared unique wheels for the Porsche Taycan. The front and rear wheels are 20 inches in size.
