Porsche will present the serial version of the electric Taycan in SeptemberMarch 9, 2019
More than 20,000 people have already prepaid a Porsche Taycan sports sedan. According to a press release, the official debut of the novelty will take place at the motor show in Germany.
About three and a half years after the introduction of the all-electric concept of Mission E, the German company Porsche is preparing to finally present its serial incarnation. Received the name Taycan, the electric car will be presented in September of this year – most likely at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
As for the start of sales of the car, then as reported in the official press release of Porsche, the long-awaited novelty will appear before the end of this year.
Despite the fact that we have not yet seen the road version of the model, more than 20,000 people have already lined up to receive it, making an advance payment of 2,500 euros (for Europe). To meet high demand and reduce waiting time, the Porsche guys are already taking the necessary steps to increase batch production.
Two electric motors will produce a total power of more than 600 hp, and thanks to the battery, the sedan can drive 500 km (according to standard NEDC). Four minutes is all it takes to recharge the battery in order to provide a range of 100 kilometers.
Thanks to the enormous torque, the Taycan sprints up to 100 km / h in less than three and a half seconds. For comparison, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid does the same in 3.4 seconds.
