Porsche will conduct a recall campaign of 75,000 Panamera due to the risk of an accidentDecember 21, 2018
Porsche has announced the launch of a revocable campaign, which will be held in almost all countries of presence of the Panamera model. Under the review will be 74 525 Porsche Panamera due to software problems in the electric power steering.
Due to an error found in the electronic control unit of the electric power steering Porsche Panamera, forced maintenance of 74,525 cars produced from March 21, 2016 to December 6th, 2018 will be carried out. According to the company, due to the error found, the electric power can sometimes be turned off, dramatically changing the load on the steering wheel. This could potentially lead to a loss of control when turning at high speed.
At the moment, no cases of accidents or injuries due to malfunctions are recorded. As part of the recall, the cars will undergo diagnostics, as well as a flashing of the control unit, which will take no more than an hour.
Of course, all work is carried out exclusively by the automaker. Owners of recalled cars will be notified by phone or mail.
