The auction house Sotheby’s announced the first lot of trades, which will be held in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Porsche brand at the American racetrack Porsche Experience Center Atlanta in the autumn of this year. They became a completely original Porsche 356 A 1600 S Speedster in 1956. The car was in the hands of the current owner for 51 years, having traveled for all time 48,280 kilometers.
The car for sale is a version of the model in Glacier White color and Super specification: instead of the 60-horsepower engine there is a 1.6-liter engine that produces 75 horsepower and 117 Nm of torque.
The sports car was bought in 1967, it was stored in a specially built for him garage and was annually subjected to careful maintenance – the owner even processed rubber elements with linseed oil.
According to a representative of Sotheby’s, this is one of the most well-preserved and original Super Speedster. The car is almost in the same condition as 62 years ago, when he got off the assembly line of the Porsche plant.
