Porsche tests the powerful Cayman GT4 RS coupeJanuary 26, 2021
Photos with a test prototype of the high-performance Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS have appeared on the web. The body of the novelty was covered with a rather inconspicuous camouflage.
We last saw the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS test prototype on a scenic fall day near the Nürburgring, and the company swapped that glorious environment for a snowy road to test the car in cold weather. After so many photos and videos of Porsche test prototypes, all 718 Cayman GT4 RS fans are eagerly awaiting the official launch of the car.
This Cayman has a very light body camouflage. Black tape hides each side of the front. These sections are open on other prototypes of the novelty, and this area is an inlet for directing air around the wheels.
The front fenders also have rectangular sections of black tape. There may be vents under the skin, like on the previous generation 911 GT3 RS.
The GT4 RS has larger side vents than the regular GT4. Also, the model gets air intakes outside the windows. Increased airflow is expected to be necessary because the car is powered by a 500 horsepower 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine.
The rear of the GT4 RS features a swan-neck wing with oversized endplates. There is also a tiny spoiler lip at the tip of the rear cover. The two tailpipes have large circular outlets. The diffuser occupies the rest of the lower fascia.
There is no official debut date for the 718 Cayman GT4 RS yet, but expect the powerful car to arrive sometime in 2021. According to rumors, its price will be about $ 130,000.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that a prototype of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo station wagon was seen on tests. Western publications have published pictures of an unmasked prototype of the electric Porsche Taycan station wagon. The novelty received a prefix in the name Cross Turismo
