Porsche Taycan a quarter mile with the Tesla Model SOctober 16, 2019
The German sedan was faster than the American liftback
A video with a quarter mile Porsche Taycan Turbo S and Tesla Model S P100D, as well as imitation obstacle detour with a return to its lane, appeared on the Car Benchmarks YouTube channel. The last test, unlike the Taycan, the Tesla liftback could not perform.
The most expensive and powerful Taycan modification – Turbo S took part in the race. This sedan is equipped with two electric motors, a two-stage gearbox on the rear axle and a traction battery with a capacity of 93.4 kilowatt hours. The total return of the power plant is 761 horsepower and 1050 Nm of torque. Passport dynamics of acceleration: 0-100 kilometers per hour in 2.8 seconds, maximum speed – 260 kilometers per hour.
The opponent of Taycan was the Tesla Model S P100D. Such an electric car gives out 773 forces and 967 Nm of torque and is capable of accelerating to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.6 seconds. The maximum speed of the liftback is 250 kilometers per hour.
Apparently, the 2017 Model S is competing with Porsche, although there is a more recent Model S Performance known as Raven. Liftback recently received a number of updates and could very well have shown the best result.
