Porsche showed in Geneva electric Cross TurismoMarch 6, 2018
The company Porsche presented at the Geneva Motor Show concept car Mission E Cross Turismo. The novelty is positioned as a “practical electric car of increased cross-country ability”.
The overall length of the electric car was 4.95 meters. As the head of the German brand Oliver Blume noted, the prototype is a mixture of “Mission E electric vehicle with off-road capabilities of the Panamera Sport Turismo. The top manager said that the concept car is “a serious candidate for mass production, which can begin already in the near future.”
Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo borrowed a power unit from the standard Mission E, introduced in 2016 at the Paris Motor Show. It consists of two electric motors (one on each axis), which together give out 600 horsepower.
The electric station wagon can accelerate to “hundreds” in 3.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is 250 km per hour. Recharging lasting only four minutes is enough to drive up to 100 kilometers.
As previously reported, the serial production of the standard Porsche Mission E will begin next year. According to preliminary data, the cross-version of the electric car will not appear until 2020.
