According to published data, the Porsche plant in Leipzig is currently undergoing modernization. In particular, the plant is building a new workshop for the production of the third generation of the Macan crossover, which will receive an all-electric power plant. The structure is fully erected, the next step will be the installation and configuration of equipment for the assembly of cars.
In addition to the body shop, assembly production will also undergo changes. During the summer corporate vacation, the assembly line will be expanded to produce models with three types of power plants. According to the press service, since February this year, several charging stations for electric cars with a total capacity of 7 megawatts have been installed on the territory of the plant. All energy comes from renewable sources.
Of course, business alone will not end with modernization of production. Already, a number of specialists are being trained to release the electric version of the Porsche Macan crossover. At present, more than 1.3 billion euros have already been invested in the plant in Leipzig. The end date for the modernization of production is not yet called.
