Porsche Panamera getting ready for upgradeJuly 9, 2020
The German manufacturer will update the Porsche Panamera and Panamera Sport Turismo models in the near future. The latter just fell into the spy camera lenses.
The second generation Panamera, introduced about four years ago, is about to be updated. Last year, Porsche sent camouflaged prototypes several times for tests, but now the Panamera Sport Turismo was spotted without camouflage, most likely during an ad shoot.
Photos clearly show the rear lights of the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo. The two light units remain connected by an LED strip extending across the entire width of the rear door, but they themselves have been changed. It looks like the line at the bottom of these blocks has also been updated along with the lamp layout.
Judging from previous spy shots, the design changes to the front of the Porsche Panamera will be less obvious. Meanwhile, the exhaust indicates that we have a Porsche Panamera Turbo with a 550-horsepower 4.0 V8 under the hood.
It is possible that the revised Panamera will be equipped with soft hybrid technology. The V6 engine that Porsche uses in the Panamera 4 is already equipped with such a 48-volt system in the American versions of the Audi S6 and S7.
