German prosecutors searched the brand’s offices on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation into the diesel scandal.

According to the local newspaper Der Spiegel, three offices and three private apartments owned by Porsche employees were ransacked as part of an investigation into their role in the diesel emissions scam scandal.

Prosecutors have broadened the suspected fraud group and are currently investigating seven current and former Porsche employees.

Porsche was involved in a scandal involving emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, called the Dieselgate, which the Volkswagen Group was accused of after using engines developed by Audi. Special software was installed in them, which, when measuring the level of emissions, purposefully underestimates the indicators.
