Porsche noted the interior features of the coupe 911 2020January 10, 2019
Porsche has started posting videos on its YouTube channel that talk about the most important functions of the 911 sports coupe. Last week, there was a video with the best features of the appearance of the novelty. Now it’s time to talk about the features of the interior.
In the video, Ivo Van Hulten, director of interior design for Porsche, introduces us to the highlights of the car’s interior. He begins with a general concept of the front panel, which, as they say, is designed for the driver and is inspired by the “Porsche story”.
Probably the most distinctive feature here is the analog engine speed counter in the center of the dashboard.
Mr Van Hulten also notes the shifted center console, which emphasizes the width of the dashboard and the entire cockpit. This is a design feature that was introduced in the first three generations of the 911 model, and now it returns to the model model version 2020 version.
The third most important feature is the volume decorative trim on the front panel. The presence of this “chip” allows potential customers to order the desired interior elements – wood, aluminum, carbon fiber and other materials. The door panels have a fixed design that connects to the front panel design.
A new, fully digital dashboard is what is one of the main features of the interior of the new 911. This is a combination of a traditional analog engine speed counter and a fully digital display around it.
