Porsche named the characteristics of the first series electric carJuly 30, 2018
The company Porsche named the main technical characteristics of its first production electric car, which will be called Taycan. The serial release of the car will begin in 2019.
The Porsche Taycan will be equipped with two electric motors (on the front and rear axles), similar to those used on the hybrid sport prototype Porsche 919 Hybrid. The engines, with a total output of 600 hp, will work together with the on-board 800-volt system.
The electric car will be able to accelerate from place to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds, and its power reserve without recharging will be about 500 kilometers. When using a special fast charging system, 15 minutes will be enough to allow Taycan to drive up to 400 kilometers.
Porsche plans to produce about 20 thousand copies of Taycan annually, which corresponds to about two-thirds of the current production of cars of the family 911.
Earlier it was reported that the prices for the Porsche Taycan will start at around 90,000 euros, which is comparable to the cost of the basic version of the Panamera model.
