At the Paris Motor Show debuted an updated version of the conceptual Porsche 911 Speedster. The new model differs from the prototype shown in summer by its red body color, LED optics design and wheel disks.

Porsche engineers took the body of the serial 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet as a basis for the concept car, some of whose parts were made of carbon fiber. Among them: the wings, hood and cover of the motor edema. Carbon fiber also made fairing with hidden safety arcs, placed behind the seats. Among other features of the speedster is the fuel tank neck installed in the middle of the bonnet, like in the fifties cars. The roof is installed manually.

The Porsche 911 Speedster is equipped with a four-liter boxer “six” from the Porsche 911 GT3. Engine recoil is 500 horsepower. Gearbox – six-speed manual. The prototype also received a titanium exhaust system and bucket seats with a carbon fiber frame. In order to reduce the mass from the sports car, the navigation and audio system, as well as the climate control unit, were dismantled.

According to the publication Autocar, Porsche confirmed the start of the speedster in the series. The commercial version of the machine will be part of the 911 line of the current generation (index 991). The total circulation of the 911 Speedster will be 1948 copies. Release will begin in 2019.
