Porsche is working on an electric SUVOctober 16, 2018
The Volkswagen Group, which includes Porsche, says it electrifies each model by 2030.
According to Autocar, the German Porsche brand is going to present a fully electric crossover, as well as one sports car and another version of the Taycan electro sedan.
According to the current automaker development strategy, Porsche plans to focus solely on creating all-electric cars, with the exception of the 911 sports family.
As part of a recent interview with the brand’s CFO, Lutz Meske, the electric crossover could be introduced as early as 2022. He also said that the Boxster and Cayman models will be electrified soon.
The closest, all-electric new German company is the Taycan sedan – its sales should start at the end of 2019. It will be built on the J1 platform, which will be the basis for another electric PPE platform – engineers from Audi and Porsche are working on it. It is known that it is on the J1 that the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo and Audi e-tron GT electric crossovers will be built.
